Ubisoft Quebec has brought the latest entry in the series to the current generation of consoles. This time around, the stealthy action takes place around the fictional history of the Peloponnesian War in the year 431 BCE. Following on from Origins last year, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey continues to take the series down the RPG route. You’ll level up your character, unlocking abilities along the way. You’ll also get access to stronger weapons and armor the more experience you earn from grinding out quests and side content. As such, you might be wondering what the max level cap is in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

What the Max Level Cap Is in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Well, having poured plenty of time into the game ourselves now, we can confirm what the cap is within the game.

First, let’s talk about what a “max level cap” is. This is the level where your character simply cannot get any stronger. They are, for all intents and purposes, an insanely powerful assassin with a plethora of abilities at their disposal.

If you want to completely max out your character, you’ll want to reach level 50. At this point, you will not longer be able to level up your character further in the game. However, don’t worry too much about hitting this level cap. It’ll take you a long time before you reach it in the game.

Update: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has received an update on Nov. 14 that has updated the max level cap from 50 to 70.

How to Reach the Max Level Cap Fast in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

If you’re just desperate to grind out some levels so you can take on a tougher challenge, there are some ways to level up fast. You earn experience in the game for completing just about anything like discovering new locations, synchronizing viewpoints, and, of course, stealthily disposing of enemies.

However, to reach this peak fast, you’ll definitely want to focus on completing side missions. And don’t worry, there are tons of them!

Side missions offer you thousands of experience points for simply completing them, and while they can get a little monotonous if you do them back-to-back a lot, the rewards are worth it.

Alongside the thousands of experience, many of them will grant you new weapons or a piece of gear. Even if it’s not powerful enough to replace your current loadout, it’s still some easy money if you sell it!

Also, you’ll want to head out and hunt cultists and mercenaries, for sure. Those give big boosts in experience points, too.
