Can You get Out of the Animus in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey? What You Need to Know (Spoilers)
So, can you get out of the Animus in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey? Here’s what you need to know.
Since the beginning, Assassin’s Creed has revolved around a historical figure and their connection to a 21st Century character living out said historical figure’s life through a machine called the Animus. In the first game, you played a good portion of the game out of the Animus.
With each new iteration, the importance of those portions has dwindled. So too has the amount of time spent outside the animus. Because of that, it’s fair that fans of the series are wondering if you get can get out of the Animus in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
In the game, players once again take on the role of Layla Hassan in the modern-day sections. Fortunately, you’re not stuck walking around a cave when exiting the Animus although to dive any deeper into what happens outside the Animus would be to dive deep into late-game spoilers. For that reason, we’ll stray far from that.
Simply put, you can’t get out of the Animus. At least, not whenever you want to, that is. During your time playing through the game, you will find Layla Hassan exiting the machine, though. This happens after completing certain quests. You’ll have no say in it, pretty much.
You’ll know exactly what quests you need to complete to advance the modern-day story. Odyssey will make that much clear, so if you want to exit the Animus, complete those quests.
Ubisoft’s game is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC with several different editions available for purchase.
