NBA 2K is back with another yeah, and NBA 2K19 is sure to give fans of the simulation series what they want. More players and more to do! Needless to say, though, all of the typical basketball moves you can pull off are back. With it all, there’s the ability to box out your opponents. Want to know how? Don’t worry, we have your back. Here’s how to box out your opponents in NBA 2K19.

This move will allow your opponent to get put on the edge of their seat a bit when you’re on defense and they’ve shot the ball.

When you’re in front of your opponent’s line of sight (literally infront of them), hold L2 if you’re on PS4 or LT if you’re on Xbox One. This will make your character do a box out, trying to stop them from getting to the ball or shooting it or just generally halt them from winning, you know?

It’s an incredibly important technique to remember to use when you’re on defense. It can really make the difference in whether or not the opposing team makes a shot or gets the ball back after attempting to shoot the ball into the basket.

Of course, keep in mind that the attributes of the player will affect your success in pulling this off well and how effective it is. This is basically true for everything in the game, thanks to its RPG-like elements.

That’s all there is to it. That’s how you box out opponents in NBA 2K19. If you need any more help with the game, be sure to check out our wiki.
