Destiny 2 Forsaken: How to Get the Wavesplitter Trace Rifle

Getting the Wavesplitter Trace Rifle in Destiny 2: Forsaken

Recommended Videos

Nearly one year into launch, Destiny 2’s Trace Rifles are still a rarity. These guns were introduced alongside the sequel, serving as fusion rifle that fires a continuous laser rather than a pulse of beams. For the first year, only two existed in the game, Coldheart and Prometheus Lens. Thankfully, the recently launched Forsaken DLC has added two more, the Wavesplitter and One Thousand Voices. Unfortunately, Wavesplitter is a PS4 exclusive. You can check out the perks for this Void Trace Rifle below:

Harmonic Laser – Laser damage that oscillates between three power levels the longer the trigger is held.

Polygonal Rifling – Increased stability and recoil reduction.

Enhanced Battery – Larger magazine.

Supercharged Battery – Orb of Light pickups grants automatic reload.

Fitted Stock – Increased stability and slightly controls recoil.

As we stated above, the only way to even have the opportunity to get the Wavesplitter at the moment is by owning Destiny 2: Forsaken on PS4. You get exotics in Destiny 2: Forsaken just as you always have in the past, via random drops on exotic engrams, or by purchasing them directly from Xur if he’s carrying the item that week.

It’s worth keeping in mind that certain activities such as the raid, strikes, nightfall, and heroic public events can drop exotic engrams at a higher rate that have a chance of getting the Wavesplitter exotic trace rifle in Destiny 2: Forsaken.
