Mafia III: How to Do Silent Takedowns & Stealth Attacks

How to Do Silent Takedowns & Stealth Attacks in Mafia III

Recommended Videos

While shooting enemies and blowing things up can be a lot of fun in Mafia III, there will come times when a lighter hand is much better for a situation. When these situations arise, you’ll want to rely on silent takedowns which quickly incapacitate an enemy. This will help you to save your skin from any shots as you’ll be way stealthier than you normally would have been.

All that’s required for a stealth takedown is that you are undetected and behind an enemy. To stay undetected, it’s better that you use the stalk mechanic (Mafia III’s form of sneaking). You’ll be sort of crouching when you click in R3 on your controller. Lincoln will basically be walking around silently at that point. Use this to get behind your target. Once you’re in position, press Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One to instantly take them down. It’s as simple as that, and you won’t be caught dealing with this enemy in any other way.

Of course, be careful of others noticing you doing this. Their friends could really start shooting you up.

If you can pay attention to and learn a group of enemies’ routes, you can potentially take every single one of them without ever raising suspicion, though. Just remember to move bodies out of the way just in case you take one out in someone’s path. You won’t want to be sloppy and get caught. And, as mentioned before, be wary of anyone catching you taking someone down while you’re in the act.

That’s all there is to it! For more help with Mafia III, you can check out our wiki for the game! You can also ask any question in the comments below and we’ll do our best to help you.
