How to Get the Galaxy Skin on Fortnite Battle Royale
Update: Following the reveal of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 today, Epic Games has revealed that the Galaxy Skin in Fortnite will be a reward for those who purchase a Samsung Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4. You can check out the details for yourself here.
Late last week, an Android APK leak for Fortnite Battle Royale seemingly revealed a number of skins that’d be making their way to the game in the near future, alongside other notable additions such as new weapons. While we’ve already seen one of the weapons officially make its way to Fortnite in the form of the double barrel shotgun, some are more interested in the cosmetics. More specifically, that cool-looking Galaxy skin.
Currently, it’s not been confirmed as to how to get the Galaxy skin in Fortnite, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make some educated guesses. And we’re pretty sure we’ll be right, too!
First off, let’s give you some bad news. If you were hoping to get the Galaxy skin from the Item Store, think again. This is looking like it’ll be a platform-exclusive cosmetic, and numerous data miners have already stated that they think this is the case following the initial leak.
In the next couple of days, Samsung is due to hold its Galaxy Unpacked Event, which tends to showcase the new Samsung Galaxy Note phone. This year, that’d be the Galaxy Note 9, and we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that in one way or another, you’ll need to play the game on a Galaxy Note 9 in order to get the Galaxy skin.
Again, this is just speculating, but the timing of the rumored release of Fortnite on Android, plus the release of the Galaxy Note 9, and then the name of the skin… need we say more?
We’ll be sure to update this post just as soon as the specific, confirmed details on how to get the Galaxy skin in Fortnite are shared by Epic… or Samsung. For more tips, tricks, and information on Fortnite Season 5, be sure to check out our wiki.
