How to Start From the Ashes DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance

Kingdom Come Deliverance may have brought its realistic medieval RPG experience to PC and consoles a few months back, but this week saw the release of its From the Ashes DLC. From the Ashes puts Kingdom Come Deliverance’s protagonist Henry into the role of Bailiff of Pribyslavitz – a small little town that’s been overrun with bandits. Of course, as the knight in shining armor in almost every scenario, it’s down to Henry to rebuild the settlement by managing its finances and deciding what amenities and other buildings are planned. There’s a whole lot of different content in From the Ashes compared to the standard Kingdom Come Deliverance experience, and so many players may be wondering what they need to do to start the DLC itself.

In order to start From the Ashes, you’ll first need to make sure you’ve reached a certain point within the game’s story. Specifically, you’ll need to ensure that Pribyslavitz is unoccupied after the battle you’ll partake in during the main quests in the game. Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive a message that From the Ashes has been activated and you have to make your way to Talmberg Castle and speak to Sir Davish. This should result in the quest being triggered to kickstart the Kingdom Come Deliverance DLC.

It’s worth noting that, while From the Ashes can be played once you’ve cleared the rest of the game, developer Warhorse Studios has previously stated that this DLC has been designed to slot midway through the story content within the game. As such, if you’re not yet too far, it might be best to play through From the Ashes before advancing too much further in Kingdom Come Deliverance. You never know what quest may be your last.

That’s all you need to know to start the new DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
