How to Get Guns in Vampyr

Recommended Videos

In Vampyr, you’ll be using weapons as well as relying on your new vampirical skills and abilities to dispatch enemies. There is a range of different weapons to use, most of which are melee weapons such as stakes, clubs, and swords. There are also various guns that can be equipped as a secondary weapon and are fired by pressing the triangle (PS4) or Y (Xbox One) button. You’ll find the Revolver very early in the game as part of the main story, but there are other guns to find, too.

Dr. Reid can also use a shotgun, which is a much more effective weapon for inflicting heavy damage than the Revolver. It also spreads, too, so you can hit multiple targets with a single shot. There’s a sawn-off variant and a pump-action shotgun, both of which do a decent amount of damage. Speak to the Ambulance driver by the main entrance of the Pembroke Hospital for ammunition and various parts to upgrade your weapon. The pump-action shotgun is found during a main quest later in Vampyr.

Make sure you upgrade your guns from the workbench at one of Reid’s hideouts as you progress through Vampyr. The Revolver can be used to stun enemies while the shotgun is mostly used for heavy-hitting. There is a merchant in Whitechapel who sells rare variety upgrade parts for weapons, so head there when you have enough money and purchase his more expensive parts to fully upgrade your weapons.
