Can You Crouch in Vampyr?

Recommended Videos

As a newborn ‘Ekon,’ Dr. Reid is a vampire that’s only just learning how to use his new supernatural abilities. From the earliest parts of the game, you’ll have access to a whole bunch of new skills to unlock and exploit. Part of the freedom of choice in any RPG is the ability to choose your playstyle, and Vampyr certainly does allow you to be more stealthy in how you tackle combat. But if you’re wanting to sneak around London avoiding conflict, can you actually crouch to silently move past enemies?

The answer is no, strangely. There is no ability to crouch in Vampyr. Instead, if you’re wanting to move around without being noticed by the many thugs, Skals, and hostile vampires that roam the streets, you’ll need to rely on your Shadow ability. By unlocking this skill, you’ll turn into a transparent mist that enemies won’t be able to detect, and that’s really the only equivalent to crouching or sneaking in the game.

That’s all you need to know about whether you can crouch in Vampyr. For more useful tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our wiki page.
