How Old TSM Myth Is
On Jan. 10, 2018, Team SoloMid announced that they would be entering the Fortnite BR scene alongside the news that they had acquired Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, TSM Myth as Team Captain.
TSM Myth is 18 years old and has achieved the number 1 rank in the game. Myth hails from North America and boasts 500k followers over on Twitch, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Speaking in the official press release announcing his appointment of captain of Team SoloMid, Myth explained: “This is like a little boy’s dream come true. It may sound odd but it’s insanely nostalgic for me.
I remember not so long ago watching and falling in love with TSM as they competed in League tournaments and thinking to myself how amazing it must feel to accomplish your wildest dreams.
Being able to represent them in Fortnite is less than just me being a part of TSM and more about me kicking ass with my favorite childhood superhero. I’m honored and ready to show people what TSM will do in Fortnite.”
TSM are notable as being the most internationally recognized League of Legends team to come out of North America, with TSM chants heard at the majority of the game’s main events.
They have a particularly vocal fan base and have become a staple part of the eSport. With Fortnite Battle Royale now being one of the most streamed games on Twitch, it isn’t surprising to see the team entering the fray. TSM are expected to complete the team roster alongside TSM Myth in the near future.
Fortnite has seen a huge resurgence since its launch last year. Epic Games made the decision to implement a battle royale mode into the game which has seen it rise in popularity. The team are now focused on this mode moving forward, aiming for a full, free to play release later this year.
