Dynasty Warriors 9: How to Block

How to Block in Dynasty Warriors 9

Recommended Videos

Dynasty Warriors 9 is the biggest game in the series yet and changes a ton, but that doesn’t mean its lost the core of what makes it a part of this long-running series. You will still definitely be facing tons and tons of enemies during your time in feudal China. As such, you’re going to want to know how to handle yourself while in a fight. Here’s how you can block attacks to lessen how much damage you’ll take while out and about.

To block in Dynasty Warriors 9, you’ll want to press and hold L1 if you’re on PS4 or LB if you’re on Xbox One. You will block and face whatever direction your character is looking at, or whatever you were locked onto. Keep in mind that if you just hold down this button, you will eventually be hit with an attack that will break right through your block and leave you stunned and open. Use it sparingly.

This is really the best way you’ll be able to mitigate the damage dealt to you from all sides while facing hordes of enemies in Dynasty Warriors 9. You can dodge and roll out of the way, but it might not work in your favor as well as blocking does.

That’s all there is to it in Dynasty Warriors 9! If you need any more help, let us know in the comments below and we’ll try our best to help you out.
