Is Middle-earth: Shadow of War Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Recommended Videos

The reviews are finally out (ours is here) for Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and players will likely be preparing themselves for the intense journey across Mordor once more. With a refined nemesis system, fast-paced action, and a charismatic bunch of orcs to hunt down and either kill or recruit, there’s plenty for players to sink their teeth into. Almost so much that it’d be the perfect game to be able to play on-the-go, too. As such, many players are likely wondering if Middle-earth: Shadow of War is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Despite WB Games featuring on that image of third-party partners, the official word is currently bad news for fans. In an interview with GameSpot back in May, Monolith’s Creative VP Michael de Plater revealed that the developer has “no plans for the Switch at this time.”

This is certainly disappointing news, but it doesn’t mean that Shadow of War couldn’t get a Switch release at a later date. Currently, there’s no official word on this, but if Monolith does happen to make an announcement, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
