How to Level Up Fast in Middle-earth Shadow of War
If you want to get anywhere in Middle-earth: Shadow of War, you’ll want to make sure you do your part to level up any time you can. It’s important not only to raise your level, but because gear drops and dominating Orcs will scale depending on what level you’re at. Chests that you purchase are also subject to this rule, so if you want more powerful items and better drops, you’ll want to raise your level as much as you can. Nearly anything you do in Shadow of War will result in you gaining valuable experience, from killing Orcs, adding them to your army, battling others online, or collecting items. You’ll find it nearly everywhere you go, but there’s a way you can actually earn XP quicker if completing quests and objectives isn’t doing it quickly enough for you.
The most direct path to earning XP quick is through utilizing a simple item that can be purchased to help give you a leg up on the competition. They’re called XP Boosts, and you can purchase them individually for 100 Gold apiece. Certain chests contain them as well, but if you need to use them to level up fast, you’ll want to save up or purchase the Gold to add them to your inventory. This isn’t the most cost-effective way to build up the XP you’re already earning, but it is a simple method to choose if you don’t have the time to really grind for the food stuff.
The XP Boosts have a frustrating flaw that will make many players think twice about purchasing and using them often, in that they last for two hours in real time. You’ll have to use those two hours they’re activated wisely, meaning you’ll need to continuously be grinding out XP as much as possible within those two hours. You can’t pause the time they’re in use or stop playing and come back, or you’ll have wasted your Gold. It’s best to use XP Boosts by sitting down and stacking a bunch of quests up you want to complete and play them in a marathon session. The XP you earn will be doubled, even during story missions. Boosters offer a realistic way of cashing in on the XP in ways you wouldn’t have previously imagined, but be prepared for a two-hour gaming session if you don’t want to waste their potential.
