More than likely though, you’ll be needing them for infusion. Infusing weapons and armor requires a resource, glimmer, and sometimes, enhancement cores.
Here are the three best ways to get Dusklight Shards in Destiny 2:
- Equip a ghost with resource and/or cache detection and drive around the EDZ. Your ghost will ping the location when you get a near it. Collect them, rinse/repeat until you feel like you have enough.
- Complete bounties from Devrim Kay. He’ll have a few per day that you can take on that will reward you with 10 shards a pop.
- Buy them from Spider. What he wants in exchange will vary with every daily reset, but if you can get Dusklight shards for 1 legendary shard or spare glimmer, it’s a good deal.
If you are looking for a farming run for them, while there isn’t a specific location at which you’ll certainly find them, there always seems to be more in Trostland. Also, since it’s a tight, compact area with a nice loop to run, it makes it a good place to return to regularly if you are trying to find Dusklight Shards in Destiny 2.
