How to Get Money (P) in Splatoon 2
P is the main currency in Splatoon 2, though it’s more commonly referred to as money or just cash in the game. While you can’t gain experience and money by playing the single-player campaign, you can amass large amounts of it by engaging in the online multiplayer battles.
Right from the get-go, you’ll have access to the Turf Wars regular battles. Whether you win or lose, you’ll earn money and experience points, though, of course, you’ll get even more if you actually win your matches. There’s one main thing you can do in your matches to ensure that you actually make more money, so let’s run you through it.
For starters, make sure that you play the objective. In Turf Wars, P is awarded for covering the area in your ink color. The more area you cover, the more money you get, which you can keep track of in the top right corner of the screen. However, do note that splattering the walls doesn’t count, and it’s a waste of your time and ink if you do so. At the end of each match, you’ll get a 1000p bonus for winning. If not, you’ll just get however much money you received from playing the objective.
In the early levels, you can earn cash pretty quickly in Splatoon 2 just by playing Turf Wars, and when you unlock ranked battles later on, you’ll have even more opportunities to maximize your earnings.
