Senior Editor Chris Jecks: The Walking Dead: A New Frontier finally came to an end this month in its fifth and final episode, and what a finale it was. Blending action, adventure, and character relationships together, the finale stands as an enjoyable story on its own, while also providing the necessary closure for the series.

A New Frontier’s finale is superbly written, allowing characters to truly come into their own, and those tough decisions you completely forgot about from earlier episodes to come back to bite you in the ass without ever feeling forced. Whether it’s Clem reminding you of a dumb decision you made, or the smaller comments or actions that characters make, it’s clear in the finale that all of your choices are finally coming into play.

By the time the credits roll on A New Frontier, fans will have much of the closure that they’ve been seeking throughout the series, while leaving the door open for the next chapter. It’s a shame that Telltale’s series’ struggled with technical hitches, and rely on incredibly obvious McGuffins in order to nullify some of the decisions that players make, but episode five most certainly did the series justice.
