Fire Emblem Echoes: How to Unlock the Secret Dungeon Thabes Labyrinth

How to Unlock the Secret Thabes Labyrinth Dungeon in Fire Emblem Echoes

Recommended Videos

Dungeons are one of the main new features in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and they can be challenging experiences that test your endurance and tactical skills. While plenty of the dungeons in the main game are challenging, you biggest obstacle is going to come in the post-game, with the optional Thabes Labyrinth. This is a multi-leveled dungeon with over nine floors, filled with high-level, deadly enemies and a surprising boss at the end that fans of the Fire Emblem series should recognize.

The first step to unlocking the Thabes Labyrinth is, of course, to beat the main story of the game. Beat both the dungeons in Duma Tower and Rigel Castle, and then finish the final battle and watch the credits roll. After you’ve seen everything you’ll have the chance to save the game, with the file reading you’re now in Act 6. There isn’t a ton of new story or anything in this post-game act, but a quick trip will let you unlock the Thabes Labyrinth. You’ll receive a notice that merchants from a distant land have arrived in Zofia Harbor, so head there now. Head to the Wharf and talk to the merchant there, who will ask you to help with a dire task, agree and you’ll unlock a route to the dungeon.

When you go back out to the world map you’ll see a new path has appeared across the sea, and to the continent of Archanea. You’ll need to engage in three battles at sea, each of which have some challenging enemies, before you reach Archanea. You can return to the final dungeon to grind and train if you need to at this time, so don’t be afraid to make use of it.

Once you’ve reached Furia Harbor on the other side, just head on through to the Thabes Labyrinth and explore its depths.
