Getting the Star Confidant (Hifumi Togo) in Persona 5
As you progress through Persona 5, you’ll eventually hear about an amazing Shougi player named Hifumi Togo in Kanda. If Kanda wasn’t available before, it will be now. Head over to Kanda Church where you can finally meet this Confidant whose abilities let you manage your team mid-battle as well as flee almost any situation (bosses can’t be fled from). She’s also one of Persona 5’s romance options.
You will need to meet special requirements before heading to Hifumi and obtaining the Star Confidant. Below we’ve listed each rank and their requirements as well as any special answers.
Rank 1: 6/26, Requires Charm Rank 3, Unlocks Koma Sabaki
Just talk to her at Kanda Church.
Rank 2:
Answer 1 – “That’s interesting.”
Answer 3 – “But you don’t want to, right?”
Rank 3: Unlocks Uchikomi
Answer 1 – “Describes you perfectly.”
Answer 2 – “Having a difficult time?”
Rank 4: Unlocks Book Town (join Hifumi when she invites you)
Answer 1 – “I didn’t mind” or “Must’ve been the katsu curry.”
Answer 2 – “They’re cool.”
Rank 5: Unlocks Kakoi Kazushi
Answer 1 – “She’s scary.”
Answer 2 – “You should stop then.”
Rank 6: Unlocks Sky Tower hangout
Answer 1 – “Is that frustrating?”
Answer 2 – “Do you still like shogi?” or “Do what you love.”
Rank 7: Unlocks Narikin
Answer 1 – “It may come down to luck.”
Answer 2 – “I believe in you.”
Rank 8: Requires Knowledge Rank 5, Unlocks “Upstaging the Stage Mother” request
Answer 2 – “That won’t work.”
After a few more interactions, you’ll unlock Hifumi’s request. Complete it, then speak to her again for another conversation to reach Rank 8.
Answer 1 – “I’m glad her heart changed.”
Rank 9: Unlocks Touryou, Romance Opportunity
Answer 1 – “A very queenly decision.”
Answer 2 for Friendship – “I want to become stronger.”
Answer 2 for Romance – “I want to stay by your side.”
You’ll gain a third interaction if you choose romance that can revert the relationship.
Answer 3 – “I want us to date” (to pursue the romance) or “We’ll be friends forever” (to revert to friendship).
