How to Use Specials in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

It should come as no surprise that you’ll have to fight your way through more than your fair share of aliens and bad guys in Mass Effect Andromeda. While the standard weaponry you have at your disposal will certainly be more than capable of taking down most enemies you face, sometimes you may need a bit of extra firepower. That’s where you’ll want to use your specials.

To use specials in Mass Effect Andromeda, open up your menu and head to the Skills option. Here, choose the specials that you want to equip to your character and press X on PS4 or A on Xbox One to confirm your choices. Now, at the bottom of the screen you should see the icons of each of your special abilities assigned to either LB, RB, or LB + RB (L1, R1, or L1 + R1 for PS4).

This is your clue as to how to use your specials in Mass Effect Andromeda. Once you find yourself in a combat situation, simply press the button or button combination that the skill was assigned to and voila!
