Mass Effect Andromeda: How to Throw Grenades

Mass Effect: Andromeda doesn’t mess around with the space combat. There will be a ton of aliens you’ll encounter on your quest through the universe, and every single one of them wants you dead. Just assume that. Makes it easier to have your gun at the ready. Look, it’s not a friendly galaxy, okay?

Shooting them and messing them up with your Biotic powers is all well and good, but how about some good ol’ fashioned grenades to take out groups of ’em?

If you’ve already learned a skill that will allow you to throw grenades (for example, the Omnic Grenade skill under Combat can have points put into it), you’ll be able to throw grenades by hitting R1 on the PS4, or RB on Xbox One. You have to learn first, though, they’re not just some weapon you can use whenever.

Omnic Grenades will require power cells, which you can pick up at ammo crates that you find. Just like regular weapon ammo! These will cause a big bang, though, and are able to take out groups of enemies that are dumbly sticking together.
