Dark Souls III The Ringed City: How to Start the DLC

How to Start The Ringed City DLC in Dark Souls III

Recommended Videos

The second expansion for Dark Souls III is finally here and for those looking to jump straight into the action you will need to have progressed basically to the very end of the main campaign. Unlike Ashes of Ariandel which users could start at the Cathedral of the Deep bonfire, players will need to have slain all of the main bosses aside from the final one. From the Firelink Shrine, warp to the Kiln of the First Flame and turn left at the bonfire when you spawn in. You should see a second bonfire in the corner by some tombstones, probably surrounded by other Dark Souls III players’ notes.

Ignite the bonfire and you will be given a command to “Travel to the Dreg Heap” at the bottom of your screen. Execute the command and you will instantly start The Ringed City DLC and be presented with your first bonfire dubbed The Dreg Heap. This will act as your starting point until you find other bonfires on your journey and can be accessed in the travel menu on the very last tab. Remember, this is post-game content, so we recommend being at least level 90 before you venture into this world.

That’s all you need to know to start The Ringed City DLC in Dark Souls III. For more Dark Souls III: The Ringed City guides, tips, and walkthroughs make sure to check out our wiki.
