Horizon Zero Dawn: How to Cancel an Arrow

How to Cancel an Arrow – Horizon Zero Dawn

Recommended Videos

As you’re hunting the mechanical beasts in Horizon Zero Dawn, there’s likely going to be a time where you’ll be lining up your shot and suddenly have to move. Of course, if you’ve already held down R2 then the arrow, bomb, or tripwire is likely primed and ready to be fired. Letting go of R2 at this point would then see you firing the projectile at your enemy… or a wall if you miss, but there’s a way to cancel an arrow or a ranged attack so you can conserve ammo.

In order to cancel an arrow or a ranged attack in Horizon Zero Dawn, all you need to do is let go of L2 first. This will see Aloy lower her weapon and conserve the ammo. Alternatively, you can also press Circle, which will automatically see Aloy dodge and roll. Perfect if you’re trying to dodge out of the way of an oncoming enemy.

That’s how you cancel an arrow or ranged attack so you can conserve your ammo in Horizon Zero Dawn. For more tips, guides, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
