Passing Time – Final Fantasy XV

Recommended Videos

While it’s always safer to travel during the day, there are certain hunting quests that will require you to go out into the wilderness during the nighttime. The best way to pass time is, of course, to do other side quests that can be completed during the day. However, if you’re out of other quests to complete, there are a couple of ways to pass the time quickly.

First off, after accepting a nighttime hunting quest from a tipster, the game will ask you if you’d like to wait at the outpost until nightfall. Accepting the game’s offer will skip time, and you’ll be able to jump straight into the quest after that. You can also occupy yourself by doing other things like playing the Justice Monsters Five pinball game, which can be found in most diners. While it seems like a silly side activity, clearing enough stages in the pinball game will reward you with some potentially useful equipment. However, be careful not to spend too much time on the pinball game. Time passes relatively quickly in Final Fantasy XV, and if you’re not careful, you could end up playing till dawn of the next day.

If neither of these options appeal to you, and you’d rather wait by watching the sunset, you could always leave the game running in the background while having your crew look over the horizon. That works too.
