Battleborn: How to Quick Melee

Combat in Battleborn can get very hectic really fast. So fast, in fact, that you may find yourself backed into a corner before you realize it. With all of the plasma swords, bullets, rockets, and lasers whizzing by, it can be easy to forget the barbaric art of melee attacks.

Some characters, like Phoebe and Rath, are built around melee, so both triggers will swing your blade in one way or another, but there is also a Quick Melee that every single Battleborn has access to. When you find yourself within in range, simply hit Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One.

This will cause your hero to quickly lash out with a fast strike. If you use the proper augments, this can be transformed into something more powerful, or even become an escape method. For instance, Thorn’s Quick Melee can have a rapid backwards jumped add to the attack to keep you out of harm’s way.

Now that you know how to punch baddies in the face, or wherever else you want to aim, you’re ready to duke it out with the best of them. Just remember, swords usually beat hands.
