Stardew Valley: How to Open the Mines

How to Open the Mines in Stardew Valley

Recommended Videos

In Stardew Valley, it’s not just about farming and fishing. No, you can also be an adventurer, slaying monsters and getting treasure. This is all done within the mines of Pelican Town, which are found east of the Carpenter’s Shop and north of the Adventurer’s guild. Basically, the northeast of town on your map will point you to them. However, they are blocked off by a bunch of boulders when you first stroll into town.

So, how do you get access to them? Patience, padawan. On the fifth day, you’ll get a letter letting you know that you can actually go into them. This will open up a wealth of quests as you work to prove you are the greatest adventurer to ever join the Guild. Be ready to face floors upon floors of enemies, loot, and rocks to destroy. This is the only place to get a lot unique drops, fish, and is also the easiest place to get a wealth of ores. Remember your pickaxe and weapon above all else as you set out to go through the mines. It can get pretty dangerous down there.
