NieR: Automata – Cypress Stick from Dragon Quest

Recommended Videos

The Cypress Stick is one of the crossover weapons featured in NieR: Automata. This one is from the Dragon Quest series, and fans will definitely want to pick this one up.

To get the weapon, progress through the game normally until you clear the Forest Zone. Go back to the Forest Zone through the shortcut entrance unlocked at Pascal’s Village. Look for a collapsed pillar leaning on an upright one. Climb up this pillar to get to the top of the upright pillar. From here, you’ll want to jump over to the ledge right in front of you. There will be two more pillars to jump to after this, followed by another ledge. Keep jumping straight until you reach a ledge with a chest on it. This chest doesn’t have an electronic lock, so you can open it with either 2B or 9S to get the Cypress Stick.

If you’re having trouble with the jumps, make sure to hit the jump button twice to initiate a double jump. You can also hold the jump button to glide with the Pod. Pressing square in the middle of a jump will let you gain a bit more distance as well, and you can hit the dodge button to dash forward too. And that’s all there is to getting the Cypress Stick in Nier: Automata.
