NieR: Automata – Checking Your Mail

Recommended Videos

As you play through NieR: Automata, you’ll occasionally receive a notification just above your mini-map in the bottom right corner telling you that you’ve got mail. However, you won’t be able to immediately read your messages right then and there. To access your mail and inbox, you’ll have to go to the nearest access point, which is also your save point.

Interact with the access point, and you’ll find the Inbox option right underneath the Quick Save option. Select your inbox and you’ll see all the messages and e-mails you’ve received in the game so far. Some messages are a little longer, so you might have to click on the message itself in order to scroll through the entire thing. It’s a good idea to check your inbox every now and then for new mail, as some of these can actually open up optional side quests for you to complete. Other messages in your mail will give you helpful hints, or even serve as triggers for other side quests that you’ve been working on. Unfortunately, 2B doesn’t have the ability to send messages to other androids, so you’ll just have to settle for reading the ones you receive.
