Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: How to Use Awakening

Time to unleash your inner power.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 gives players a lot of opportunities to turn the tides of battle. One of those ways is Awakening. This allows a player to unleash their inner power in order to step up their speed, power, move-set, or all of those combined. Some lucky shinobi even have the ability to transform into huge beasts or don spiritual suits of armor.

To use Awakening, you must reach a certain health mark. The ability becomes available when your life reaches about the halfway point. At this point, the extra circle at the end of your Chakra bar will start to flash. Hold down the charge button (Triangle on PS4, “Y” on Xbox One) until it triggers.

A short cutscene will play and you will become awakened. If you’re a Jinchuriki or an Uchiha (this includes double Sharingan Kakashi since he has both eyes) you will transform and get an entirely new move-set. Other characters will get a temporary boost in stats.

Once Awakening is triggered, make good use of it. You can easily wipe out even the toughest of opponents in this mode, so don’t waste the opportunity.
