How to Switch Classes in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

With Mass Effect Andromeda continuing in very much the same vein as its predecessors, players will be able to choose from a selection of classes. Each of these classes grants players some statistical buffs and some exclusive techniques, too. Choosing the right class for the scenario you find yourself in will go a long way to helping you out in combat, so you’ll want to know how to switch classes.

To do this in Mass Effect Andromeda, you’ll want to press the Options button on PS4 or Menu on Xbox One and go to your Profiles menu. These Profiles are the different classes for your character in Mass Effect Andromeda, but they work a little differently than in past games.

This time around, you can freely switch between classes as long as you have them unlocked. Unlocking Profiles requires you to invest in combat, tech, or biotic skills with skill points you earn from leveling up. As long as you meet the criteria for unlocking a Profile you can then switch between it and your existing one by simply pressing A on the one you want to run with.

It’s worth noting then, that no actual skills will be locked away from you in Mass Effect Andromeda. You’ll have the ability to use all skills but depending on how you invest your skill points, some will be stronger than others.

That’s all you need to know about Profiles in the game. For more on Mass Effect Andromeda, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
