Far Cry Primal: How to Tame and Use the Owl

In Far Cry Primal, you’re able to tame many different animal companions that will aid you in several ways through your adventure. One such animal is the Owl.

You’re able to get your very own Owl friend by following along the story, so don’t fret; it isn’t missable. Once you meet Tensay the Shaman (one of the first main missions in Far Cry Primal), he’ll get your character soaring through the sky and on a spiritual quest to tame a Hedwig.

Once you complete Vision of Beasts, you’ll be able to hold down Up on the Control Pad to call upon your surveying friend. It’s useful for checking out the surrounding area, marking waypoints, and sending beasts after spotted enemies. You can even upgrade its skills and get it to attack enemies all on its own. Get your little sniper’s eye friend and start wrecking havoc on unsuspecting enemies.
