Far Cry Primal: How to Get the Grappling Hook

Climb the steepest cliffs.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The world of Far Cry Primal is huge no matter how you look at it, and that makes it difficult to traverse sometimes. Even without vehicles and flight, the developers managed to add a healthy dose of verticality. As you explore treacherous rock faces, deep caves, and tight caverns you will notice points from which you can grapple. The only problem is that the game never tells you where to get one.

It turns out that the Grappling Hook is unlocked during a specific mission. After progressing through the story, Sayla will have you fight to defend the village. After completing that objective, she will inform you of three useful Wenja warriors. This will unlock three new missions on your map.

You’ll want to head towards Wogah’s mission. He’ll throw you into a cave, and in order to get out, you’ll find the Grappling Hook. After completing the mission, the hook is yours.

Now there ain’t no mountain high enough to keep you from continuing your quest. If you need help with any other aspects of this game’s cruel world, be sure to check out our expanding wiki guide.
