How to Unlock the Stormcaller Subclass in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

Veteran Destiny players will recognize the Warlock’s Stormcaller subclass immediately. This powerful lightning wizard was introduced as part of the game’s The Taken King expansion, and transformed how you could use the guardian in battle. It’s making a return for Destiny 2 and is just as powerful as you’d expect. Here’s what you need to know to unlock it.

Stormcaller is the final Warlock subclass you’ll unlock in Destiny 2. You’ll have to locate the Cracked Talisman, which can be obtained from a chest after completing a Public Event. There doesn’t seem to be a specific level requirement from what we can tell, but we did have to complete the Voidwalker quest first.

Once you get the relic, you simply have to charge it. This is done by completing events and killing enemies. It goes faster if you work with others, but you can totally do it solo (took us maybe an hour to charge while exploring and doing missions). Once charged, you’ll be told to go to the Shard of the Traveler. This section is longer than previous times you’ve done it in Destiny 2, but it still works the same. Kill the nearby enemies, interact with the shard, jump into the pools of light to get your super, and continue to kill all enemies. You’ll have to go through rifts after every couple of waves, but it’s the same deal in all of them. Once you’re done you now have the Stormcaller subclass in Destiny 2.

If you’re already at max level, you will also have enough points to fill out all the nodes and unlock all of the abilities for the Stormcaller. So go nuts.
