How to Get a Treasure Cracker in Slime Rancher

Recommended Videos

Players in Slime Rancher are out trying to find all the Treasure Pods hidden in the world, but before they can find and open those pods, they do need the Treasure Cracker. Getting the basic Treasure Cracker is simple, since buying the lab is the only real requirement. Once a day or two has past, the Treasure Cracker will be ready to go and can be found in the Vacpack Upgrades.

This will allow players to open up the green Treasure Pods found throughout the world, but not the other two sets of pods. For those the Treasure Cracker will have to be upgraded, and in order to do so you will need to pass through many extractor cycles. The exact number is not currently known and ranges from 50 to 100, but it would be best to aim for 100 since it will help you with reaching the next upgrade. With the second upgrade, players can begin to unlock the blue colored Treasure Pods.

The third and final Treasure Cracker upgrade requires the second upgrade and about 200 extractor cycles, which is why it’s best to shoot for 100 with the second upgrade. 200 cycles is just an estimate of what it will take, but generally it should be around that number to unlock the most advanced upgrade. Once this upgrade is done, the black Treasure Pods in Slime Rancher can be unlocked, which means the only thing standing in a player’s way is to find them all.
