Your Guide to Getting Some Free Dragon Age Inquisition DLC Weapons

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Remember, remember, the 18th of November. Yes, today is the day Dragon Age Inquisition comes out. Among other things (like eventually I’ll stop writing about it all the time), this day means we all finally get our hands on this juicy morsel. If you’re prone to hoarding weapons, boy do I have a treat for you.

The Quest for the Red Lyrium Reapers” is a small observational “game” wherein you watch four separate trailers and find hidden objects to click. It’s deceptively simple and takes all of 10 minutes. For your time, you are rewarded with three unique Dragon Age Inquisition DLC weapons for your game.

In order to complete the requirements for the items, you must watch the first three videos and click on various characters and objects that have a small wisp of smoke over them. There are three per video.

For the Vivienne video:

Click the bust of Empress Celene on the right while Vivienne is walking through the hall.
Click the guy’s mask when it goes to his closeup.
Click the top of Vivienne’s staff when she casts Barrier after the blast.

For the Iron Bull video:

Click on one of the mercenaries when Iron Bull is stampeding.
Click the Venatori that Iron Bull picks up like a tiny baby.
Click the giant after Iron Bull jumps on it and it’s on the ground.

For the Varric video:

Click Cassandra at the beginning walking towards the door.
Click Solas sitting at the booth when it shows a close up of the bandit.
Click Bianca in Varric’s hands.

For the last video, you have to slowly “scrub” certain sections when prompted to find the frame where each of the three Red Lyrium weapons are revealed. It’s easier than it sounds. As with Dragon Age Keep, it requires logging into your Origin account to transfer your items to the game. These items will help you greatly on a Hard or Nightmare difficulty playthrough.

Find “The Quest for the Red Lyrium Reapers” here.

The weapons are listed below for your visual pleasure. Enjoy!
