The first video showcases the new Orison landing zone that will finally bring a visitable location on Crusader, the gas giant in the Stanton System.

Due to the nature of the planet, it will be a complex of floating platforms, creating a very unique environment.

We also get to take a first look at the visual degradation system, that will add dynamic dirt and wear to our ships.

The second video features a round table with the development team discussing the development of landing zones.

In other Star Citizen news, the crowdfunding total passed $347 million, and it’s currently at $347,070,115

The number of registered accounts also passed three million, and it’s currently at 3,000,026.

As usual, you should keep in mind that it’s known that not all of them are paying players. The number includes free accounts created for a variety of reasons, including Free Fly events and more.

Speaking of Free Fly events, one is going on right now, letting everyone trying the game for free for a limited time.

We recently learned that 2020 was a record year for Star Citizen’s extremely successful crowdfunding campaign, shattering the previous record from 2019.

More insight about the game’s successful year and what can be expected going forward was shared by Cloud Imperium Games CEO Chris Roberts himself a few weeks ago.

If you want to learn even more, we recently saw a really lovely cinematic trailer. On top of that, we recently heard that a new studio has been opened to create new systems and content for Star Citizen.

If you’re wondering whether the game is actually fun to play, this is a good place to start.

The game’s alpha is currently playable on PC, and a star-studded single-player campaign titled Squadron 42 is in development.

For the sake of full disclosure, do keep in mind that the author of this article has been a Star Citizen backer since the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago.
