What the Minimum PC Requirements Are for Fortnite
Epic Games and People Can Fly have teamed up to create a fun, light-hearted zombie shooter that will be a free-to-play title in 2018. For now, Fortnite is still in paid early access but tons of gamers have proven they’re willing to cough up the dough in order to get in on the action early. If you haven’t purchased Fortnite just yet but it’s finally gotten your attention, you’ll probably want to make sure you have the right equipment to run the game.
If you’re looking to play on PC, here are the minimum PC requirements you’ll want to make sure you have before buying the game.
- Intel HD 4000
- Core i3 2.4 Ghz
- 4 GByte RAM
- Windows 7/8/10 64-bit + Mac OSX Sierra
These specs are your bare minimum PC requirements so keep in mind that while this may run the game, it doesn’t promise that your Fortnite experience will be incredibly smooth. Epic Games actually recommends you go for some upgrades specs if you want to get the best Fortnite experience possible. The good news is that even the recommended PC requirements won’t be out of reach for most PC gamers.
Recommended system requirements from Epic Games:
- Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 equivalent DX11 GPU
- 2 GByte VRAM
- Core i5 2.8 Ghz
- 8 GByte RAM
- Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
