Zelda Breath of the Wild: Is There Multiplayer Co-Op?

Multiplayer Co-Op in Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gives players a chance to take Link into a beautiful open world filled with new threats, and more mysteries than you could imagine. With the different puzzles, new combat elements, and tons of ground to cover, it seems like the perfect game for a co-op adventure or a space for innovative, multiplayer play. Unfortunately, we’ll have to look towards a later title for that.

This latest masterpiece from Nintendo is strictly a single-player experience with no ability to play either couch nor online multiplayer co-op. The game is all about your own personal journey and discovery, and while playing with others can enhance that, it’s just not the approach that Nintendo took this time around. Maybe we’ll see a future Zelda title for the home console and handheld hybrid. Perhaps a new four swords adventure for you and your friends? A fan can only hope.
