Zelda Breath of the Wild: Can You Ride Wolf Link?

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is finally out on Wii U and Nintendo Switch, and if you have a few amiibo lying around you’ll get some added benefits on your adventure. One of the compatible amiibo is Wolf Link, which came packaged with Twilight Princess HD originally. Tapping this amiibo lets you actually summon Wolf Link into the world of Hyrule, and he’ll follow you around helping to scavenge items, hunt animals, and even attack enemies.

He’s a trusty companion to bring with you, and naturally you might be wondering if you’re able to ride him around and travel more quickly. Unfortunately, you cannot ride Wolf Link, although he’s still a very valuable ally. If you do want a powerful mount, you can get Epona in the game. The easiest way to do this is to tap the Super Smash Bros. Link amiibo, and you’ll get Epona with completely maxed out stats.

If you want to see what all the other Zelda amiibo do in the game, you can check that out here.
