Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero sees the introduction of two new androids created by the Red Ribbon Army to combat the Z Fighters. But who are Gammas 1 and 2, the androids who are calling themselves superheroes? Here’s everything we know about Gammas 1 and 2 in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Who Are Gammas 1 and 2 In Super Dragon Ball Heroes?
Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 are the two new androids created by Dr. Gero’s grandson, Dr. Hedo. The two androids were created after the RR Army’s leader, Magenta convinced Dr. Hedo that the Z Fighters were actually aliens plotting to take over Earth.
According to the Dragon Ball Super guidebook, the two gammas are stated to be the most powerful androids created by the RR Army and were designed by Dr. Hedo to resemble a superhero he met at a fan signing.
Gammas 1 and 2’s relationship with Dr. Hedo is a massive contrast to the relationship Dr. Gero had with his own creations. The Gammas are mostly robotic in appearance which means that they don’t have a human template like Androids 17 and 18. Both androids had a hostile relationship with Dr. Gero for this reason whereas Gammas 1 and 2 have a friendly and positive relationship with Dr. Hedo and are prepared to go to great lengths to save his life.
As Dr. Hedo set out to create the ultimate superhero androids, both Gammas have a built-in superhero function that makes them both genuinely believe that they’re superheroes. It’s due to this function though that they’re unable to accept that they’re being manipulated by the RR Army and spend the majority of the movie as misguided antagonists.
Both androids have distinct personalities with Gamma 1 being far more cool-headed compared to Gamma 2’s aloof and lighthearted nature. The Gammas soon realize that they’ve been played by the RR Army when Carmine tries to shoot Pan and both take part in the final battle against Cell Max.
Gamma 2 Sacrifices himself landing a decisive blow against Cell Max whilst Gamma 1 and Dr. Hedo are employed by Bulma and take on jobs at Capsule Corp.
