Wondering when Nier: Automata comes out for Nintendo Switch? Then, we have everything you need to know about the game’s release date. During Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct third-party showcase, Square Enix revealed that Nier Automata is coming to the Nintendo Switch consoles as Nier Automata: The End of YorHa Edition. So, for those looking to grab it on day 1, here’s when it releases on Switch.
When Does Nier: Automata Come Out for Nintendo Switch?
Nier Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition will release on October 6, 2022, for Nintendo Switch. Just to be clear, this isn’t a new game, but a re-release of the well-known 2017 action role-playing game. Currently, the game is only available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows but will soon be available for Switch too.
Square Enix has also stated that Nier Automata for Nintendo Switch will have all previously released content, modes, and costumes. So there will be a lot of content to dive into when the game releases. Apart from that, the Nintendo Switch version will also come with costumes exclusive to that platform.
Originally developed by Platinum Games, NieR Automata was released in the winter of 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows, where our Earth is destroyed, with mankind stuck in a proxy war against an unconquerable army of alien-created machines.
In response, humanity creates its own automated defense in the form of sentient androids, who battle with the machines to gain control of the planet. NieR: Automata narrates the story of three such androids and how they just are pawns fighting an endless war.
