We Happy Few was developed by Compulsion Games and published by Gearbox. The game takes place in a dystopian version of 60’s Britain, where its inhabitants are inebriated on a substance called Joy. This drug sends them into a state of dreamlike euphoria but also causes severe memory loss and strains of intense violence when they spot a non-conformer. The game features survival elements, where you have to collect resources in order to get by, as well as a main story path that you can follow.

Our playthrough took around 25 hours to complete on normal difficulty. We focused on the main story missions, though, so it’s worth noting that your playtime will probably be significantly extended if you take the time to explore all of the side missions and optional objectives, as well as unlocking all the fast travel hatches in the world.
