Valorant Episode 5, Act 2 Battle Pass: All Weapons Skins & Is It Worth Buying?

Here's what's inside Valorant's latest battle pass for Episode 5, Act 2.

Valorant Episode 5 is about to launch its second Act. After so much was added for Act 1, this time around there’s not much other than a fresh battle pass. At least it’s a good one! Riot Games seems to be upping the ante with every new BP, and we here at Twinfinite think the three awesome skin bundles in Act 2’s are worth the grind. Of course, it’s all subjective, though, and it’s up to you to decide, so here we’ll be revealing the weapon skins and everything else that’s new.

Before we dive in, Valorant producer Laura Baltzer highlighted some of the creative thinking behind the Battle Pass’ design in a press release sent to Twinfinite:

This pass was the first time we wanted to try to build a Battlepass around a central theme: myths and legends. We did this for a few reasons. We wanted the Battlepass to reflect some of the things that were going on in VALORANT and make it feel like a memorable part of this moment in time for players. Champions is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see what legends are born from it.

Also, at the beginning of Episode 5, we saw in our Shattered cinematic that our Agents saw themselves in a heroic light. When players equip the Obsidiana or the Immortalized Vandal, we want them to feel just as legendary on their ranked climb as the pros playing on the main stage, or as our Agents immortalized in comic books.

How Much Valorant Battle Pass Costs

As always, the Valorant battle pass comes in at 1,000VP. VP is the in-game currency, which can be bought in different bundles. 1,000VP is roughly equivalent to $10. To put the cost in perspective, a single Premium Edition weapon skin, such as the Forsaken, costs 1,750VP or around $17.50.

Is Valorant Episode 5, Act 2 Battle Pass Worth it?

Everyone will have their own opinion on the content included in this latest battle pass and whether it’s worth shelling out the money for. In our opinion, as we mentioned earlier, it’s among the best Riot Games has done for Valorant since its launch. It maintains the high standard set by Act 1’s battle pass, which directly precedes this one.

One deciding factor for everyone, though, should be how much Valorant you think you’re likely to play over the coming months. The battle pass tiers are easy to tick off initially but take progressively more XP as you get higher up the ladder. You’ll need to be regularly playing the game to unlock all of them.

Still, you can always accelerate the process by making sure you’re ticking off daily and weekly challenges whenever they pop up.

That should give you everything you need to know about the new weapon skins and accessories in Valorant Episode 5, Act 2’s Battle Pass. For more on this latest season of content, stay tuned to Twinfinite.
