How to Get the Squad 7 DLC in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a return to form for the series, after last year’s lukewarm reception on the action-oriented spinoff Valkyria Revolution. On top of a return to strategic gameplay, Valkyria Chronicles 4 also take place during the same time period as the first game. Instead of taking place in Gallia, though, the story follows a Federation commander named Claud Wallace, as he leads Squad-E on a desperate mission to capture the Imperial capital. Even though Valkyria Chronicles 4 sports a brand new cast and story, it has some strong links to the first Valkyria Chronicles. For fans of the series, there’s even a DLC mission for the beloved Squad 7 from the first game, that sees the original squad teaming up with Squad-E. Here’s how to get the Squad 7 DLC in Valkyria Chronicles 4.

First and foremost, if you’re wondering how to get the Squad 7 DLC in Valkyria Chronicles 4, it’s a little complicated.

Unfortunately, at this point, it looks like the Squad 7 DLC is exclusive to the Premium Edition of Valkyria Chronicles 4. Known as the “Memoirs From Battle” edition, the pack costs $99.99 and comes with the game, a statue of the Hafen tank, a controller skin, a 100-page artbook, and the two Squad 7 DLC missions. At the moment there is no other way to get the Squad 7 DLC, and in Japan the add-on stayed exclusive to the Premium Edition. Of course, it’s always possible that Sega could make the Squad 7 DLC purchasable in the future, but for now if you really really want it you’ll need to drop some cash for that Premium Edition.

At least there is some good news, if you haven’t played the original Valkyria Chronicles, it’s available now on PC and PS4, and now it’s even coming to Nintendo Switch in October.

That’s all you need to know about getting the Squad 7 DLC for Valkyria Chronicles 4. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the game, make sure to search Twinfinite or take a look at our growing wiki.
