Start New Game Plus
Things to Do After Beating Scarlet Nexus
Scarlet Nexus has a new game plus feature called EX New Game that becomes available after your first completed playthrough as either Yuito or Kasane. EX New Game allows you to start a new playthrough while retaining all of your items, outfits, accessories, weapons, player levels, and Brain Points for the skill tree.
And that’s not even the best part — you can start an EX New Game as either protagonist, even the one you haven’t played as yet. Sure, it’ll make the game a lot easier from the get-go, but it saves a lot of time and grinding, especially when it comes to filling up your Brain Map skill tree. However, one main thing that doesn’t carry over is bonds, so you’ll need to increase your bond levels all over again.
EX New Game is the best way to enjoy the game a second time if you’re just looking to understand the other half of the story by playing as the other protagonist. But you can always increase the difficulty to give yourself a bit more of a challenge gameplay-wise as well.
Complete New Side Quests
Things to Do After Beating Scarlet Nexus
Once you beat Scarlet Nexus as either Kasane or Yuito, new side quests will become available in just about every non-hostile area of the game.
These new side quests are tougher to complete, but they provide some of the rarest items in the game as rewards for your perseverance and skill. Many of them will ask you to defeat specific enemies in specific ways, so your knowledge of the gameplay mechanics will be tested.
Just remember that the Library tab in the menu will let you know exactly where enemies are located and what their names are. Good luck, and happy hunting.
Collect the Strongest Weapons

Many of the new side quests mentioned above will provide you with previously unobtainable materials and items. More specifically, the new Phantom Art materials can be exchanged at Satori’s shop to obtain the best weapons available for each character.
The catch here is that you can only get the necessary Phantom Art exchange materials for the platoon of the character you’re currently playing as. So only Yuito will be able to obtain the best weapons for Tsugumi, Gemma, Luka, and Hanabi, and only Kasane can get the weapons for Arashi, Shiden, Kyoka, and Kagero.
This means that you’ll need to play through Scarlet Nexus a second time as the other protagonist to complete your collection of the best weapons in the game. It’s a time-consuming process, but EX New Game is a huge help in reducing the playtime of a second playthrough.
Revisit Old Locations

Backtracking never sounds like a good time, but trust me on this one. At the end of Scarlet Nexus, both Yuito and Kasane’s platoons will have teamed up to take on a world-ending threat. This means that you’ll have access to every single SAS ability at once, which is useful for more than just taking down enemies.
By returning to old areas, you’ll be able to get past obstacles that initially seemed impossible to figure out. Luka’s Teleportation can warp you through solid walls and fences, while Shiden’s Electrokinesis can overload generators and door switches to open them up. And Kagero’s Invisibility can help you bypass camera-controlled doorways that auto-lock.
Backtracking to use these abilities where necessary will reward you with plenty of Plug-In Parallelization Programs and other rare items that usually need to be obtained using the exchange option at Satori’s shop.
Reach Max Bond Levels

With both platoons stuck together at the end of Scarlet Nexus, you’re also given the opportunity to get close to each and every one of the characters. Increasing bond levels is useful for a number of reasons, beyond getting to know your teammates’ backstories and motivations (though, that’s great too).
Increasing individual bond levels will add buffs and perks to SAS powers, opening up more offensive and defensive options in combat. The higher your bond level with a character, the more likely they are to randomly come to your aid in battle for a tag-team attack, or even to tank a hit for you to keep you safe.
As an added bonus, raising the overall team bond level high enough will even reward the platoons with stylish matching outfits. And, as mentioned above, all of this isn’t carried over into an EX New Game, but it’s worth putting in the time to raise the levels while all of the characters are together in the Hideout at the end of the game.
