Saving Your Game in The Evil Within 2
The Evil Within 2 has an auto-save system that lets you restart a level from specific checkpoints, but if you want to manually save your game and start from a safe area whenever you boot it up, you’ll have to look for a safe house and a terminal.
Saving your progress can be done from Sebastian’s room, or from any safe house you can find around Union. Each of these locations will have a white and red colored terminal where Sebastian can plug in his communicator, and this will allow you to manually save your progress by choosing a save slot. As I mentioned previously, there is also an auto-save system in place, so you don’t have to worry about starting from the last terminal if you happen to die in-game. The game will notify you whenever you reach a checkpoint by showing a Saving indicator in the top right corner of the screen. However, checkpoints don’t come be very frequently in the game, so you’ll still want to manually save your progress at a safe house whenever you can.
