All Of The New Pokeball Pokemon in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Unlike playable Pokemon fighters, Pokeball Pokemon appear to assist a player when they are unleashed from the Pokeball or Master Ball items. Like every game in the series, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be getting its share of brand new Pokeball Pokemon. Since the last Smash game, we have seen the release of the seventh generation of Pokemon with 2016’s Pokemon Sun and Moon. On top of the 85 new Pokemon that those games brought with them, the seventh generation also introduced new Alolan forms of some first generation Pokemon. This makes a pool of over 800 eligible critters that Nintendo can pull from for the new Super Smash Bros. game.

All New Pokeball Pokemon in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

  • Alolan Vulpix: For Vulpix’s first appearance in Smash Bros., it has shown up in its Alolan form. It attacks with Icy Wind, causing damage to and freezing opponents.
  • Vulpix: Vulpix fights similarly to its Alolan counterpart but uses fire based moves rather than ice.
  • Bewear: Bewear wanders around the stage, occasionally attacking opponents with powerful punches.
  • Solgaleo: Solgaleo unleashes its signature move, Sunsteel Strike. It can teleport around the stage to get all up in its opponent’s grill.
  • Lunala: Lunala uses its signature move, Moongeist Beam, from the background. It fires a giant laser at its opponents several times before disappearing.
  • Alolan Raichu: Raichu rides its tail around the stage, ramming the enemy as it flies past.
  • Alolan Exeggutor: Alolan Exeggutor appears with its incredibly long neck, blocking off a part of the stage.
  • Abra: Abra teleports fighters to different locations of the stage.
  • Mimikyu: Mimikyu pulls opponents under its rag, instantly knocking them out.
  • Pyukumuku: Pyukumuku counters opponents when hit.
  • Marshadow: Marshadow stuns enemies and attacks with Shadow Sneak.
  • Ditto: Ditto transforms into a fighter and can use all of their moves.
