How to Ground Pound in Super Mario 64
As soon as you start playing as Mario in the area in front of Princess Peach’s castle at the beginning of the game, you’ll realize that Mario has a ton of cool moves that he can perform.
You can do a triple flip if you time your jumps correctly, you can dive into the air to get a little boost, and you can even ground pound on stuff, which can damage some enemies and you’ll also need it to push down columns or buttons sometimes.
To ground pound in Super Mario 64, all you need to do is simply press the A button to jump into the air and while you’re in the air, just press the ZL button on your controller. Mario will get into a sitting position and slam the ground with his butt.
