State of Decay 2, the zombie survival sequel from Undead Labs, is launching on Xbox One and PC this month and sees you head out into the game’s world to scavenge for resources so that you can protect yourself against the incoming horde and keep the members of your community alive. Since the game is so focused on working with other characters to stay alive, playing in co-op multiplayer can be great fun. Before you start, however, you might be wondering how many other people you can play with. Well, here’s everything you need to know.

State of Decay’s 2 co-op mode allows for four players. With the host player choosing the quests, your crew sets out to complete whatever objective has been set, whether that be collecting items or taking out zombies. If can be great fun co-ordinating what each player has to do, especially if you venture out during the more brutal hours of darkness. With the aims clearly set, you can organise how you approach each situation, or you can simply bash some undead skulls in, whichever you prefer.
