How to Get the Orb in Ocean Speedway in Spyro 2 in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy brings three classic games back in all their collectathon glory, and that includes all the orbs you can find scattered across Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage. Here’s how to get the orb in Ocean Speedway in Spyro 2 in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Ocean Speedway is the very first speedway you can play in Ripto’s Rage, and it functions just the same as speedways in the first game. You’ll need to hit a series of collectibles, in this case, flying through eight rings, torching eight cars, torching eight boats, and flying through eight arches.

How to Beat Ocean Speedway

Before you can think about getting the orb, you’ll need to successfully complete an all-in-one playthrough, meaning you have to get all four categories of objectives.

The easiest way to do this is head for the rings as soon as you enter the level, fly through all eight and then head to the arch just to your right after the last ring. Follow the arches all the way around, which will lead you to the boats, which are driving in a figure-eight style around a couple of jumps.

Circle around the boats and torch them all, but take care not to fall in the water. After you have all eight, head to the track that the cars are driving on. The easiest way to get these is to simply land on the track and then charge the opposite direction that the cars are driving. You have to be careful not to fall off, but this is by far the fastest way to destroy the cars.

How to Get the Orb

After you’ve beaten Ocean Speedway, you can enter the level once again and, instead of counting down, the timer will count up, giving you all the time you want to explore. What you want to do is head to the stands by the boats, the one that has a bunch of fish people cheering on it.

The Queen in the middle is who you’ll want to talk to in order to start the little minigame for the orb. Before we get into that though, do note that if you torch everyone on the stands beside the Queen, you can get the Warm Up the Crowd trophy and achievement.

Now, once you talk to the Queen, she’ll challenge you to race her champion, which as it turns out is Hunter. The point of this race isn’t actually to beat Hunter, but to keep up with him. The first one of you to go through each ring will cause the ring to turn green and shrink, and if you’re too far behind you won’t be able to get through.

Therefore, the easiest way to do this is keep up right behind Hunter and follow him through each ring. There’s a specific order you need to go through, so you can’t just fly off and do it however you want to, unfortunately. You’ll probably need to try this section a few times, but stick with it and you’ll complete it, thereby netting yourself another orb in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
