The Octostomp is the third boss you’ll encounter in Splatoon 2, and he’s a bit of an oddly shaped one. He is one of the easiest bosses in the game, though, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble with him if you keep your cool.

During the first phase of the fight, just wait for the boss to hit the floor before splattering his sides with ink, allowing you to swim up on top of him. Here, you’ll be able to attack the tentacle, beginning the second phase. The second phase is pretty simple as well, and all you have to do is shoot the clip on his face before you can swim up again. Dodge his ink shots by strafing left and right, and of course, swim to take cover if you have to. Once you’ve attacked the tentacle for the second time, the final phase will begin.

This phase sees an evolution of the boss where he now has multiple faces instead of just one. However, the concept is still the same. Shoot the clip on his middle face to stun him, and then swim upwards to shoot the tentacle while avoiding all his attacks. Keep this up, and he’ll be down in no time.
